Join Us This Year for Wanted: Dead or Alive..If You Dare!
In 1970, when the “infamous” Mulligan Maximum Security Penitentiary closed due to a “lack of funding”, it was whispered in the community surrounding the prison that the underlying reason for the sudden closure was a fear that the cruel and brutal atrocities perpetrated on the condemned prisoners were about to become public. At the time, there were but 20 lost souls left to serve out the remainder of their life sentences for the crimes they had committed—the lone surviving witnesses to the horrors that were their daily lives. They were those whom were “Wanted: Dead or Alive”.
All that entered these dilapidated walls were condemned to an existence void of contact with the outside world. While some inmates, until their dying breath, futilely pursed their freedom, many simply gave up knowing that the only way out was in a coffin and that there were 4 ways to get there– lethal injection, electric chair, hanging or suicide.
At the time of closing, the prison grounds were outfitted with a dilapidated cafeteria infested with vermin of all varieties, 2 Death-row cells, 20 decrepit solitary confinement cells and an archaic execution chamber. The callous and sadistic employees of the penitentiary meagerly staffed the casket shop, church, funeral parlor, embalming room, morgue and cemetery.
For the last 4 decades, the prison and its grounds have remained vacant, but the sounds of chains, shackles, prison doors and the screams of all those fallen victim to the execution area still echo through these hallow halls and the stench of the morgue and embalming areas still fill the air.
Come if you dare, enter these gates of atrocities and pass through this living hell. Experience the suffering of Cell Block B, feel the desperation and fear of Death Row and sense the terror of the Execution Chamber. If you’re lucky, you will be the first to exit… ALIVE.
